Quickstart: first project to Home

How do I sign in?

Open https://app.spiderlook.com and sign in with an email one-time code or a passkey. After authentication, Spiderlook creates or resumes your Organization.

If you already belong to an organization, you land in the last project you used. Otherwise onboarding starts immediately.

How do I choose Agency or Brand?

Onboarding asks whether you are an Agency or a Brand. Agencies usually create one Project per client landscape so rivals, sources, reports, and MCP scope never mix across clients.

Brand organizations typically keep one primary landscape for their category. You can still create more projects later either way.

How do I create a project and Your brand?

Create a Project (often the client or market name). Then add Your brand — the self competitor. Ask Spidey and vs-you KPIs need Your brand before they work well.

Your brand may show Scan pending until the plan activates scanning. That status means waiting, not a failed crawl.

How do I add a Rival and wait for the scan?

Use Add a Rival: Who → Sources → Focus → Confirm. Pick Rival for competitors you track, or Benchmark for optional reference peers. Confirm social, ads, and website sources (or enter URLs manually if discovery fails).

Spiderlook runs scheduled daily scans on sources with daily scans enabled. Use sidebar Refresh when you need a newer read for one rival before the next daily run. Refresh draws from the shared AI and scan usage pool.

When the first scan is ready, you land on Home with Signals, latest Activity, and room to Ask Spidey.

• Keep daily scans on for sources you care about.
• Pause daily scans later on Sources if a rival is noisy; Refresh still works.
• Finish the setup checklist for team invites and Connect your AI when ready.

What should I do next?

Triage open Signals on Home, open a rival Ads or Social tab for movers, and connect Claude or ChatGPT when you want project intelligence inside those clients.
