Rival, Your brand, and Benchmark roles
Every tracked company in a project has a role. Use the labels Rival, Your brand, and Benchmark consistently in the app and in client conversations.
What is a Rival?
Default competitors you monitor. They appear in lists, Activity, Compare, battlecards, and reports. Filter the Rivals page to Rivals when you want only this role.
What is Your brand?
Exactly one self competitor for grounded Ask Spidey and vs-you KPIs. Required for full Home usefulness. Add it during onboarding; do not substitute a generic Rival.
What is a Benchmark?
Optional reference peers. Useful when you want a category anchor without treating them as the primary fight. Benchmarks still have sources and can participate in daily scans.
