Spiderlook product glossary
Spiderlook terms used in the app, docs, and support answers.
What is an Organization?
An Organization is your Spiderlook account. Agency organizations usually run one Project per client. Brand organizations usually track one category landscape. Team members, billing, and timezone live at the organization level.
What is a Project?
A Project is one competitive landscape: the rivals, sources, scans, activity, signals, battlecards, and reports for that set. The project switcher moves you between landscapes without changing billing.
What are Rival, Your brand, and Benchmark?
A Rival is a competitor you track. Your brand is the self competitor used for vs-you KPIs and Ask Spidey. A Benchmark is an optional reference peer.
What are Source, Scan, daily scans, and Refresh?
A Source is a social profile, ads library connection, or website Spiderlook collects from. A Scan is a scheduled analysis of selected sources. Daily scans run on a schedule for sources that have daily scans enabled. Refresh is a manual newer read for one rival when you cannot wait for the next daily run.
What are Signal, Activity, Compare, and Battlecard?
Activity is the evidence stream of posts, ads, and page changes. A Signal is a conclusion Spiderlook surfaces from that activity. Compare contrasts rivals on share of voice, formats, timing, and engagement. A Battlecard is a sales-ready positioning brief you can approve and export as PDF.
What are Ask Spidey and Connect your AI?
Ask Spidey is grounded chat inside the Spiderlook app. Connect your AI links Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients to a chosen project. A Plan is your usage bundle for scans, Refresh, and Spiderlook AI. A Report is a weekly intelligence run for the project.
